Grain Channeling

Beginning with purchases for the 2010 growing season, growers that purchase products not yet approved for import of food, feed grain, seed or processed fraction thereof in the European Union (EU), including YieldGard® Plus with Roundup Ready® Corn 2, YieldGard VT Rootworm/RR2™, YieldGard VT Triple™ and Genuity™ SmartStax™, will no longer be required to complete and file with Monsanto Canada a Grain Marketing Communication Plan. However, the status of those technologies listed above has not changed in the EU and growers have no less responsibility to ensure that grain produced from these technologies are directed to appropriate markets to prevent movement to markets where the grain has not yet received regulatory approval for import.
