Monsanto recognizes that patent protection for its inventions is for a 20 year time period and we continue our efforts to be fair and transparent when our patent protection nears expiry in Canada.

To this end, we launched an awareness campaign in January 2011 to provide Canadian farmers with information about their rights and responsibilities when the patent on original Roundup Ready® soybeans expires in Canada in August, 2011.
