Monsanto Canada appoints Engage Agro exclusive distributor of Vision® and VisionMax® products for forestry industry

(Winnipeg, MB/Guelph, ONT. – October 19, 2009) -- Monsanto Canada Inc. announced today the appointment of Engage Agro Corporation of Guelph, Ontario as its exclusive distributor of Vision® and VisionMax® products to the forestry and vegetation management industries in Canada.

Engage Agro began working with Monsanto Canada to represent the Vision and VisionMax brands in the vegetation management sector in early 2009. This new agreement will allow Engage to use their experience to support these well-recognized brands in the forestry sector as well.

“The forestry sector is an important and significant segment of Monsanto’s Canadian glyphosate business,” said Cory McArthur, president of Monsanto Canada’s Crop Protection Division. “The appointment of Engage brings additional resources to this area of our business and will allow Engage to further build the Vision and VisionMax brands within the vegetation management and forestry sectors.”

With strengths in customer and industry relations servicing niche markets, Engage is well suited to market the Vision and VisionMax brands across the country.

“We have solid customer relationships and a proven record of servicing our customers’ varied needs. The new agreement with Monsanto ties us directly to the manufacturer of the products that are recognized and valued by the forestry and vegetation management markets,” said Ray Chyc, president of Engage “We are confident that Monsanto and Monsanto forestry customers will benefit from this arrangement”
